Of the austenitic stainless steels, the 304L stainless steel coil is the most versatile and widely used alloy in the stainless steel family. These coils exhibit excellent corrosion resistance, and they are easily fabricated with outstanding formability, making them ideal for a wide variety of home and commercial applications. The austenitic stainless steels are also considered the most weldable of the high-alloy steels and can be welded by all fusion and resistance welding processes. The 304L stainless steel coils have a minimum of 18% chromium and 8% nickel and a maximum of 0.030% carbon.
